Doumbia Moussa Fakoly was born on 23rd June 1968 in Odienné (North-West of Ivory Coast). He creates his own group, Djelys, in 1987. He starts been known regionally and later nationally.
He writes very politically engaged songs, and in 1998 he goes to Paris, Europe for the first time.
